Spring Into Action!

springSpring is finally here!  Happy first day of spring, everyone!  After a long, and unusually cold winter here in Central Texas, I am grateful for the renewal that the beginning of spring provides.

Here are 3 things you can do today to spring into action and nourish your health:

Play outside.  Spend as much time as you can outdoors.  I like to do this  for at least 30 minutes everyday with my family.  You can go for a walk, lay on the grass and look at the sky, or play tag with your kids.  Just get out there!

Plant something.  Grow some of your own food or plant a butterfly garden.  Spend some time in contact with the soil and marvel at nature’s bounty.

Get in the kitchen and cook.  Cook a delicious and nourishing meal for yourself and your family.  Put some love into it and savor the flavors of spring.
